Water Monsters are loaned out free of charge and are only available for organizations hosting local events benefitting a community-related or charitable purpose.
Please note the following before submitting your Water Monster request:
- Per Pittsburgh Water Code of Ethics, Water Monsters are not permitted for events of a political nature or to support events for for-profit businesses.
- Water Monsters are for non-profit groups and events or for events that are fundraising and/or supporting a charitable cause.
- Water Monsters must be connected to a working fire hydrant or exterior hose bib of a structure with potable water. If monster is to be placed away from the water source, the organizers are responsible for ensuring the hose connection does not pose a tripping hazard.
- Pittsburgh Water staff will set up and take down the Water Monster.
- Pittsburgh will only supply water monsters to events in the Pittsburgh Water water service area.
- Water Monsters are only for public use, (i,e, not for event to utilize for maintenance or purposes not related to attendees of the event).
